please nobody take this seriously and staunchly defend an opinion poll
as superior to a mathematical determination of the best teams.  i was
absolutely, 100% joking.
 
though i realize the shortcomings of certain mathematical ratings, i
am appalled at the idea of letting emotional beings determine on a
whim who will play for the national championship.
 
somehow i think no matter what mathematical formula is best, there
will always be some exception to the rule.  consider photo radar to
catch people speeding.  the photo doesn't lie, but it doesn't
necessarily tell the whole truth.
