Kerry Brodt, girls hockey coach at North St. Paul the past two years,
has been named the first women's hockey coach at St. Cloud State,
athletic director Morris Kurtz announced Monday.
 
Brodt, a 1995 St. Cloud State graduate, takes over a program that will
begin play in November.
 
Brodt was a member of the Huskies' women's golf team and earned National
Collegiate Golf Association Division II honors in 1992. She also is a
coach for the U.S. Community Olympic Development Program for girls
hockey and the founder and director of the Skater's Link hockey clinic.
