<<My main gripe about Lindros (besides his goon-style of play) is the hype
that surrounds him. People compare him to Gretzky, and that's absurd.
"The Great One" is the greatest player to play in the NHL, period.>>
<<Bobby Orr must be conidered...better make that "period" a semi-colon.

While I have a hometown prejudice for Bobby Orr, the recent Top 50 All-time
Greatest Hockey Players (not sure who voted - media, players, ?) rated
Wayne #1, Bobby #2. So, technically, what [log in to unmask] wrote
is correct. As great as Orr was (why oh why did his career have to get cut
short by injuries & a crook of an agent), it's hard to argue Gretzky's
overall impact on the game - longevity, # & type of records broken, # of
cups - and marketing (is he not THE most recognized name in the sport?).
Obligatory College Hockey Content: Is there a list of players who signed
with pro teams this summer & will not be returning to their schools?
Reasoner leaving BC certainly hurts their chances to get back to the
finals, & BU will miss Poti (he did sign with Edm, right?). Who are the
others, & who do you think will be missed the most?
