The Cornell Big Red continue to lead the ECAC Women's League, but lost a
tight match to UNH 1-2. The New Hampshire Wildcats and Northeastern
Huskies opened their league campaigns with two road wins. The surprise
team so far is the Big Green of Dartmouth. They defeated Brown on
Saturday and took care of PC on Sunday at home. The Brown Bears were
undefeated in the league last year and are presently reloading.
This coming weekend Cornell and St Lawrence visit Brown and PC. Those
battles should give us a clearer indication of who is the top team this
season. UNH and Colby host Yale and Princeton, while high-flying
Dartmouth and BC travel to Harvard and Northeastern. The ECAC Alliance
starts its season this weekend with a full set of games.
