I heard from a pretty reliable source (the father of an incoming Freshman
goalie at Potsdam), that a goalie who will be a senior this year has
transferred from Clarkson to play at Div. III Potsdam College, right across
the river.
My question to all you Clarkson fans (well, I am too, but I haven't gotten
to see them in a number of years), assuming this is true, who is this
goaltender?
Is he a good goalie who just didn't get the right breaks, and now realizes
that he won't get a good shot at playing time with the great duo of young
goalies on the team? Was he someone who made a mistake going to a Division
I school, and will be better off at a Division III team? Even if he is not
Div. I caliber, is he still someone to take seriously at the Div. III level?
Or, is he someone that will be fighting for position with the other Potsdam
goalies?
Potsdam only lost 2 players from last year's team, one of their most
successful seasons ever. However, their biggest weak link was goaltending.
I'd like to know whether this weakness has been cured.
