What I've heard is that the players themselves sent a letter to the Athletic
Administration asking that Coach Higgins be removed. I don't know if this
qualifies as a 'Hatchet job'. I do know that there were a few players who
quit the team late last season, susposedly because they unhappy with the
way the team was being run. I don't know who the players were, so I have
no way of knowing if they had legitimate gripes, or were simply players who
were unhappy with their own lack of playing time.
