This is all (except my comments, in brackets{}) from Charley Hallman's "Big Ten
Notes" column in today's (4/25/94) St. Paul Pioneer Press. I wouldn't consider
it much more reliable than any other sports gossip:

Minnesota has offered Edina's Casey Hankinson a hockey scholarship. Hankinson,
brother of former Gophers Ben and Peter, is also a top baseball prospect. Look
for Peter Hankinson to sign with the St. Paul IHL team. Another candidate for
the IHL team is former Gophers center and defensman Larry Olimb, who is
finishing work toward a degree at Minnesota.
{Ben and Peter were both Gopher hockey captains. Their father, John, was a
Gopher quarterback, and their mother, Bonnie, a Gopher cheerleader. Word was
that Casey had also visited Wisconsin and Yale, but it's not surprising that he
waited to see if Minnesota would make him an offer. - PJS}

Ex-Gophers center Darby Hendrickson got a $175000 bonus to sign with the Toronto
Maple Leafs. He also picked up $25000 for simply playing in his first game.

Serratore passed on the University of North Dakota job because of loyalty to his
former boss, Gino Gasparini. Serratore was an assistant at North Dakota for two
years and recruited former Sioux sensation Greg Johnson.
