Goalies
Providence Mullahy (10-9) Bell 11:25 second (19-16)
RPI Little (30-26)
Attendance: 4,920

According to Buddy Powers, the game turned on the fact that the Engineers
grew tired toward the end of the third. Providence scored the winning goal
in OT just before midnight. According to Powers RPI's speed advantage was
negated by fatigue, perhaps a result of the15 day layoff.

One interesting aspect: Providence rotated its goaltenders with each playing
half of each game (Providence defeated Lowell Tuesday night.) Bell, the second
goalie, managed 10 saves in OT. Both goalies were named to the all-tournament
team.

All in all this was a tough defeat to take. Given RPI's problem in winning on
the road their impressive home record served as their one major confidence
builder. Hopefully their recent improvement will not be damaged with the
heart of the ECAC schedule looming. Next game: UNH on Saturday

Also, from the morning Times-Union:
United States 4, Germany 3 (The Ferraros responsible for 3 goals)
Canada 3, Finland 2
