I find these fascinating.  I don't think there is a school in the ECAC
that doesn't believe Pierre has it in for them.....  Hmm, perhaps he's
a pretty good ref after all....
 
Honestly, I don't think he's a bad referee at all.  Granted, his
demeanor could use some work....and it doesn't help that he sometimes
looks like a character from a movie on demonic possession, but he calls
a game with more guts than most referees.  He will call penalties with
the game on the line rather than sit back and let the game deteriorate
because "we have to let the players decide it."  I personally don't
think letting blatant holding, interference, etc. go just because it's
late in the game is fair to anyone.  He also has the guts to call
penalties on the home team in critical situations.  I think that is why
a lot of people think he's got a grudge against their school.....
 
Of course, as a student I didn't care for Pierre either....but then
again no referee has ever been my best friend......
