>When is Clarkson's next game?

Basically a non-sequitur, but since this thread about throwing
things is getting as ripe as Lynah Rink at the start of the Harvard
game, I'll be happy to catalyze a change of subject.

Clarkson welcomes the league-leading Yale Elis to the Cheel
Center Friday night. While a Bulldog victory would not technically
clinch the regular season title (their magic number with Clarkson is
six or seven points right now), it would for all intents and purposes
seal the issue. If, on the other hand, the Knights prevail, they will
be four points back with five games remaining. That still may not be
good enough, with the only tough game left on Yale's schedule the
contest at RPI to close the season. (The other four are against the
bottom four teams in the league.)

The Golden Knights outshot their opponents 102-41 last
weekend, but managed only a split. To have a shot at overcoming
league-leading backstop Alex Westlund (1.68 GAA, 94%, 14-2) and Yale,
Clarkson will need Dan Murphy (2.19 GAA, 91%, 5-4-1) to turn in a
better performance than his 11-save outing against RPI last Friday.
Or will Chris Bernard (2.14 GAA, 91%, 5-0-1) get the nod? In any
event, the contest will involve two of the ECAC's top three
goaltenders.

Saturday's game with Princeton, to be broadcast live on Empire
Sports Network of Buffalo (channel 313 for you DirecTV subscribers),
will probably have graver playoff implications, as the Tigers are in a
pack of three teams two points out of fifth place and the final home
playoff berth.
