Over the extended ice storm weekend, Northeastern swept its weekend series
to stay top of the table. New Hampshire was tied in the closing seconds
by Brown but remains unbeaten in second place. NU and UNH have started to
put some distance between themselves and the pack. Darmouth, Brown,
Cornell, Princeton, Harvard, Providence and Colby are locked in a
mid-table battle.
This coming weekend, Cornell and St Lawrence host Dartmouth and Boston
College in the only league games. The Big Red-Big Green big event is a
key match both in the ECAC and for the Ivy league lead. The other
happening is the Husky Invitational at Northeastern. Friday, Saturday and
Sunday should see some great hockey as NU, New Hampshire, Providence and
Canadian power Concordia (Montreal) have their winter fling.
