Cornell came back from three deficits to earn a 3-3 tie tonight against the
#1 team in the country, Michigan. Jason Botterill rang the post in o.t.,
but the hosts had to settle for the draw.

The Wolverine goals were scored by Mike Legg (he of the "lacrosse goal"
fame), Brendan Morrison, and Warren Luhning. The Big Red tallies were
credited to Chad Wilson (his 4th), Vinnie Auger (his 5th) and Darren
Tymchyshyn (his 7th).

The stars of the game as awarded by the Michigan radio broadcast team
(thank you, TeamLine), were 3) Cornell D Steve Wilson, 2) Michigan G Marty
Turco, 1) Cornell G Jason Elliott.  Turco had 19 saves on the night;
Elliott finished with 24. Both men made sparkling saves down the stretch.

The teams combined for 24 minor penalties, as Cornell went 1 x 7 on the
powerplay, while Michigan scored on just 1 of 9 man advantages.
Tymchyshyn's tying goal came on an odd man rush with Matt Cooney, fed off a
pass by Steve Wilson, with just 6:35 remaining in the third period.

Michigan extends its NCAA-leading unbeaten streak to 14 (12-0-2 over that
span), while Cornell runs its record to 8-4-3). The Big Red's next contest
is hosting Army on January 11.
