TIGERS AND SOARING EAGLES OUT TO FAST START - RIT and Elmira won their
 first conference games and remain undefeated. Mercyhurst also scored
 an early season conference win, while Niagara dropped a pair at D-I Air Force.

TEAM-BY-TEAM REPORT:
CANISIUS: The Griffs are uncharistically off to a slow start, losing at
 home to RIT (6-3) and on the road to Mercyhurst (8-5).  They look to
 get back on track with a conference game at Hobart on 11/16.
 
ELMIRA:  The Soaring Eagles continued their winning ways with a
 convincing 7-3 victory at Hobart. Elmira will try to keep their
 unbeaten streak alive with games at Buffalo State (11/12) and home
 against Niagara (11/16).
 
HOBART: The Statesmen dropped to 0-2 in conference with a loss to
 Elmira. They host undefeated Geneseo on 11/13 and Canisius on 11/16.
 
MERCYHURST : The Lakers returned to form with an 8-5 home win over
 Canisius, making them one of four teams in an early season first place
 tie. The Lakers are off until 11/22 when they host Buffalo State.
 
NIAGARA - The Purple Eagles lost a pair at Air Force, including a 4-3
 overtime thriller. They face an early season test at Elmira on 11/16 -
 the winner will have sole possession of first place.
 
RIT: The Tigers ended their string of one-goal games with Canisius (8
 in all) with a convincing 6-3 victory over the Griffs at Canisius.
 Steve Toll had 5 goals and 1 assist, giving him an amazing 22 points
 (14 goals, 8 assists) in just 4 games. Toll has recorded a hat-trick
 in each of those games. The Tigers are off until 11/23, when they
 travel to Geneseo.
