 I remember the 1980 Big Red Freakout when RPI hosted Cornell. All the
Cornell fans were stuffed into a tiny section behind their own goal..and when
the RPI starting lineup was introduced, every person in that section held up
a newspaper and chanted "boring--boring--boring". So, the routine, or
tradition, dates back at least that far.
