You're right.  I blew it.  Actually, Toot and Ron Anderson of Merrimack were
teammates on BU's 1971 and 1972 national championship teams.  How many
coaches can say they are in possession of two NCAA rings as players?
 
The 1971 squad featured another former D-1 coach, Steve Stirling.  Stirling
was an All-American and captain of BU's first championship team, and coached
Providence to their NCAA title in the 1980's.  Stirling is now the AD at
Babson.
