1994-95 Hockey-L ECAC All-Star Contest

And the winner is......

Correct Placements Right Guy, Wrong Place Points
Geoff Howell 13/17 0 26
Ballot Composite 13/17 0 26
Adam Wodon 11/17 3 25
Brian Farenell 11/17 1 23
Jayson Moy 7/17 2 16
Leo Gaudreau
6/17 0 12

I apologize if I spelled your name wrong - serves you right for
having it spelled funny in the first place :-).

I gave each person two points for placing a player on the correct
all-star team and one point for placing him incorrectly (i.e.
Patrice Robitaille on the first team is worth one point, as
opposed to two points for putting him on the second team).

In all fairness, most of you submitted subjective ballots rather
than strict predictions of the actual results. So the comparison
doesn't mean a whole lot - but I thought it would be more fun if
we had something at stake. We can tinker around with the format next
year and see if a few more Hockey-Lers want to test their knowledge
of the ECAC.

Jayson Moy wins the prize for Most Complete Ballot. He was the only
person (besides myself) who provided a complete list of All-Rookie
winners for the unnecessary tiebreaker. In fact, Jayson went one
step further and added a second set of All-Rookie players.

If tiebreakers had been necessary, I was prepared to give each person
one point for a correct Honorable Mention or All-Rookie placement as
follows:

                 AR HM Total
Geoff Howell 7 5 12
Jayson Moy 6 * 6
Adam Wodon 5 * 5
Brian Farenell 5 * 5
Leo Gaudreau * * *

*Did not submit

In case you were wondering why there are five names here when I put
together a composite from six ballots, Brian Farenell submitted two
ballots - one for his predictions, one for his preferences. I only
included his predictions for the purposes of comparison in the tables
above.
