I haven't seen the standings yet after this weekend, but it seems to
me that the WCHA is a better league (top to bottom) than it was last
year. Last year CC and Minnesota ran away with it from the start. This
year it seems to be a much tougher race. Examples---> St.Cloud and
Northern Michigan splitting the past two weekend series with C.C. , also
Wisconsin and UMD gaining splits against Minnesota, North Dakota seems to
look very good early on and will be tested this upcoming weekend. I
think it will be a tight race the whole year, which is good to see.
Especially since I haven't seen the same 'cockyness' displayed by some,
not all, of the gopher fans. I just hope Michigan Tech,
who split with UAA this past weekend can keep pace....I think they can.
