I think I have read something about this in the past few months, but since the
issue came up at Miami's recent loss to WMU, I thought I'd take it to the
experts here on Hockey-L:
When a goalie is pulled in favor of a sixth skater, do empty-net goals
count as shots-on-goal in that goalie's statistics for the game? For example,
when the Redskins pulled Trevor Prior out of the net at the conclusion of
Saturday's loss to the Broncos, Western was able to get two more goals through
the pipes; did those two shots count against Prior's record, and to what
extent?
I'm looking forward to Miami's "2nd season" beginning A.S.A.P! Bring
'em on!
