CCHA REGULAR SEASON CONCLUDES AS TOP TEAMS FINISH STRONG
CCHA PLAYOFFS BEGIN TUESDAY, ON-CAMPUS THIS WEEKEND
 
ANN ARBOR -- Bowling Green defeated Lake Superior and Ferris State to finish
second in the CCHA.  Michigan State earned a third place finish with victories
over Ohio State and Miami, while Michigan skated past Miami and Ohio State.
Western Michigan defeated Illinois @ Chicago and Notre Dame, while Notre Dame
won against Illinois @ Chicago.  In non-league action, CCHA affiliate Alaska
Fairbanks swept visiting Mankato State, while Lake Superior beat Ferris State
(last Thursday) at Fraser Ice Arena.
 
The 1995 CCHA playoffs begin Tuesday night with Ohio State entertaining
affiliate Alaska Fairbanks in the Preliminary Playoff game.  Should OSU win,
the Buckeyes would travel to Michigan for the quarterfinals.  The CCHA
quarterfinals are the best two- out-of-three.  Bowling Green will host either
Alaska Fairbanks or Notre Dame, while Michigan State will face Illinois @
Chicago.  Lake Superior will play host to Western Michigan and Ferris State
will travel to Oxford, Ohio, to face Miami.
