Summary:
Not a very good game for UIC. This loss eliminated the
possibility of them having home ice for the playoffs. LSSU looked
good: their passing was right on target; their defense was sharp;
and goaltending was good. UIC seemed flat; they were much more
into the game on Friday.
Before today's game the seven seniors were introduced at Senior
Night: Derek Knorr, Jeff Blum, Shannon Finn, Chris MacDonald, Bob
Gohde, Rob Mottau, and Mark Zdan. Shannon Finn edged closer to
tying Mike Dennis's record of goals scored by a defenseman at UIC
(26). Finn scored one tonight to bring his total to 25 for his
career. He has 4 more games to do it. Finn has 2 goals and 6
assists over the last 5 games.
