Minnesota 94, Opponents 11.5**
That's the tally from a few blocks off the University of Minnesota's St. Paul
campus.
 
Yes, it's Minnesota State Fair time again!  (Or "St. Paul Campus Under Seige",
to Erik and me, who usually park there when there aren't an extra 100,000 people
a day in the area...whine, moan...)
 
What that has to do with college hockey:  The Gopher hockey highlight video is
showing at 10:00, 11:30, 1:00, 2:30, 4:00, 5:30, 7:00, and 8:30
(or, every 90 minutes starting at 10:00 AM) in an AIR CONDITIONED room in the
University of Minnesota Men's Athletic Department booth in the upper level of
the Grandstand.  For any of you in Minnesota (or western Cheesehead-land) who
are going, it's a nice chance to sit down and cool off for 25 minutes or so and
get a hockey fix.  (And get a pocket '94-'95 hockey schedule.)

**Fine Print: Your mileage (goalage??) may vary.  I only included each goal once
in the total of 94.  (There are also 14 or so replays of highlight goals at the
end!)  The Gophers came back from a 4-1 deficit early in the video (representing
the -AHEM- unfortunate start to their season this year) to outscore their
opposition 94 to 11.  The .5 goal was only a goal if you were one of the 3
people (unfortunately including referee Greg Shepherd) in Dane County Coliseum
who didn't see Badger Kelly Fairchild throw that puck into the net.  :-)
