Pretty much all has been said about this series. Exciting, breathtaking,
and it comes out our way :)

I give Union a lot of credit, but they would do well to play hockey
instead of playing chippy.

The players that reallly deserve mention for an outstanding series:
Rochon and Askew on defense. Could we see Kelly on defense next year?
Will and Boyd on defense. Good players, and will prosper.
Perardi and O'Connor. Wow. Hit lilke madmen and just made Union turn it over.
Stevens and Ford. This will be the pair of the future.

Just one more thing to point out. This is not a biased view at all.
At the end of the game, after the celebration begun and the teams began to
shake hands, Chris Hancock of Union skated up to Buddy Powers, who was on
the ice, as well as Coach Delventhal, to shake hands, and started motioning
towards his legs in a hacking motion. Then he started shaking his fist at
Powers. Coach Powers grabbed his jersey and started chewing him out. Hancock
began to skate away, and was still jawing at Powers. At this point Delventhal
grabs Hancock and beguns to chew him out. I do not know what precipitated
this, but Hancock was way out of line for doing what he did. Just a poor
showing of sportsmanship by him.

Injury updates for the Engineers.

Cam Cuthbert is okay and his knee held up this past weekend, and he should
be in the lineup for this weekend.
Jon Pirrong has a cast on his right ankle. He can not start any sort of
therapy until this is off. List him as doubtful for this weekend.
Brad Layzell skated on Sunday, and was okay, except that he had trouble
stopping and starting. He can turn and pivot well though. List him as
probably playing (Like he would miss this?)

Someone asked for ECAC starting times. They are:

Brown v. Harvard 5PM
RPI v. Clarkson 8PM

Why the switch? Well RPI and Clarkson are well within a 3 hour driving
time from Placid. Make sense now?

******Unsolicited plug***********

And of course, WRPI will be covering these game this weekend, 7:45
airtime on Friday evening, and 15 minutes beefore gametime on Saturday.

*****One more unsolicited plug*********

And this Sunday, at 8PM on WRPI, it will be :
The 1993-94 Engineers: The Season In Review

Followed at 8:50PM by the Tournament Selection Show.
Live interviews, analysis, and the entire 12 team field, repeated
for your pleasure.
And one more reason to tune in, your truly is hosting this fabulous event!
:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Speaking of the NCAA tourney. Here is what happens in my estimation:

The team that loses 2 at Placid pllays golf. The other 3 teams make
the tourney.
If Brown has a win against Harvard, and a loss
in the championship game, this might screw things up a bit. This is
the exact same scenario as last year, EXCEPT that Brown has slumped
late in the season. Should be interesting........

See y'all on the Bobsled ride. Whee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
