This email is an invitation to share program information for an event at the Wells Public Library on Thursday October 22nd at 6:30 pm.

Voting Down the Rose is a lively account of Maine native Florence Brooks Whitehouse’s efforts to win women voting rights in the decisive final years of the campaign, 1914-1920. Presenter Anne B. Gass is Florence Brooks Whitehouse’s great-granddaughter and will be joining us via Zoom to speak about the work of her great-grandmother and about the journey to women’s suffrage in Maine. Email Stefanie at [log in to unmask] for your Zoom invitation This is a free event is sponsored by the Maine Public Library Fund. For more information, please contact Stefanie Claydon at [log in to unmask] or call the library at 207-646-8181.

Please help us spread the word for this event and we hope to see you on Thursday the 22nd.
