TOWN OF ROCKPORT
TEMPORARY PART-TIME LIBRARY POSITION
The Rockport Public Library has an opening for the position of Temporary
Part-Time Circulation and Programming Librarian. We are seeking an
enthusiastic, forward-thinking, and motivated library ninja to join our
team. This position is responsible for the development and implementation
of adult programs and services. The position also has circulation and
reference duties. We are a small staff so everyone does a little bit of
everything.
In addition to working scheduled hours on the circulation desk, this
position will be required to fill in on nights and/or Saturdays. The ideal
candidate must have familiarity with technologies relevant to today’s
library user (i.e. e-readers, computers) and the ability to work with the
public, demonstrated flexibility, multitasking, and excellent oral and
written communication skills (complete requirements on website).
This is a 20 to 30 hour a week position that will include the occasional
evenings and Saturday shifts. The position will run for three to six months
with a possibility for becoming full-time.
Hourly wage: $15.00
