I'm glad I had a good visit with Bob last summer at an MDHS reunion in Northeast Harbor. He was sick then and left early both nights, but told lots of stories in his own unique way! He could talk to all kinds of people, and schmooze them into supporting the library. He will certainly be missed.

He was my childhood librarian - quite a character! I enjoyed running into him at the state conference each year. He seemed very proud that I went on to become a librarian myself - something neither one of us would have guessed back when I was 12 and enjoyed visiting the library just to pester the librarian.
He will be missed by so many.
