Gary Nichols just sent this email to my office, so I am sharing it with the rest of you.
I'm just shocked that Glenna's passing went without notice. Glenna was a legend in our library world. She was a steadfast advocate of the State Library, Past President of about all posts in the library community including MLA. I remember, despite her car accident in front of the State Library, insisting to the EMT's that she was fine, still attending a Library Commission meeting. She presented her view before the Legislature countless times, never hesitating when asked to do so. So bright, articulate, calm but firm in opinion, a natural leader and a true Lady of class in all things. My heart, on this Valentine day is sad but oh so honored to having known and worked with Glenna. She will never be forgotten, nor her commitment to reading , her community and every library user who was blessed to cross her path.
