The current issues being experienced at the Orono campus appear to be due
to a new code release on many of the network switches that is causing
problems in some configurations. The reason this problem is currently
restricted to Orono is due to the recent campus power outage, which
prematurely triggered an upgrade to this affected code version. Work is
currently under way to address this issue at Orono, as well as to prevent
an unplanned code update to this version at other locations.

Additional updates will be provided as available.

*Subject:* Orono campus network issues

There is currently an ongoing network issue affecting portions of the Orono
campus. At present the buildings currently or recently affected are:
Aubert, Bennett, Boardman, Bryant Global Sciences, Neville, Nutting,
Shibles, Somerset, Rogers. symptoms would be partial or complete loss of
network connectivity in these buildings, depending on the severity at each
location. Work is ongoing to determine the cause and correct the issue,
and some of these buildings already have had service restored.

Updates will be provided when available.
