Ouch.
Wisconsin played an "ok" but not great game for most of the game.
Northern Michigan played well for most of the game.
It was tied 2-2 with 5 minutes left, when Northen went up 3-2.
Throughout the third period, and especially after the Wildcats
pulled ahead, Wisconsin made some good plays in the Northern end,
but didn't follow through ....
The Badgers had a lot of trouble getting the puck out of their
zone all night.
The officiating was very irritating, but didn't really affect the
outcome of the game. Just made it slow and frustrating.
With about 2 minutes left, Wisconsin was trying hard to tie it
up, and gave up a 3-1. The resulting goal broke the Badgers
spirit and they gave up another about a minute later.
Hopefully the Badgers will play with a little more intensity and
manage to put together a win tommorrow night...
