I talked to a few people over the years that Hockey-L is almost too structured,
they have been afraid to post something and either get attacked or removed from
the list, have their posting privledges screened by a moderator before their
message can be posted to the list. I remember in the past debates have been
squashed the minute they appear to be crossing this mysterious line of where
people appear to be getting upset. One person that I used to write back and
forth with simply unsubscribed becasue he tired of "Ivy League rules of
posting". So I am sure people have simply left because of the rules...
