Harvard has a new squash, tennis, weight-training, varsity club and
athletic administration facility called, I believe, the Meir Center. It
is just going online and sits between the stadium, Bright and connects
Blodgett pool.
One point of interest is the front lobby which is a "Hall of Fame", a
showcase of sports, a Crimson delight/blast from the recent past -
whatever - and features black and white blown-up photos of many of
Harvard's 41 varsity sports (including the Radcliffe crew!). Women's ice
hockey is represented by Sandra Whyte '92 (wearing the C on her #10
sweater). The Harvard Men have Ben Storey '99 (wearing the cage face mask
& #24) doing the honors.
So, if you are in Cambridge/Allston on N Harvard Street it is easy to
check out as the image corridor faces the street and has large windows for
viewing if the building is not open.
