As far as I know. Calgary's rink can be converted to Olympic size (when
the Olympics were there it was, oddly enough, Olympic size), but they
choose not to. After all, a rink that's 15 feet wide would mean fewer
seats. The NHL had its opportunity to go to Olympic size about 10 years
ago, before the building boom started. Now that it appears to have
subsided, I would think that there is no way they will go in that
direction.
 
FWIW, AFAIK about 2% of Major Junior rinks are Olympic-sized. (That's 1
out of about 45).

You know, I was talking to a friend in Arnprior, and he said that he was
talking to someone who knows Dan Fridgen's mother and she is absolutely
certain that RPI is moving to Hockey East.
 
Can we start up the WCCHA rumour while we're here?
