Certainly if you believe in Wayne's HEAL stats, ECAC is none the worse
than HE and CCHA and WCHA may be a notch better, whatever that means. Or
is it possible that there is an uncertainty of plus or minus a few points
in this ranking, making any apparent differences meaningless? At any rate,
the ECAC has five teams in the top 16 HEAL, I believe. On average one
might expect four of 16, of course none in the top five ..... we could
argue forever, why don't we just be all a bit ecumenical about this (in
the words of a friend!) and just enjoy the hockey... it certainly would be
dull if only one or no teams came from one league.
