The Miami Redskins extends it unbeaten record at home to 8-0-2 with its 3-2
victory over the Western Michigan Broncos. This hard faught contest was
scoreless until 7:11 in the second period when Brian Gallatime of Western
Michigan drew first blood. This power play goal was assisted by Byron
Witkowski and Jason Jennings. Miami answered this goal at 17:48 in the same
period with a 5 on 3 power play goal by Brian Savage from Bobby Marshal and
Chris Bergeron.

Miami got on the board quickly in the third period as Reney Vonlanthan put one
between the pipes at 0:53. The assist was from Enrico Blasi, a team mate from
Vonlanthan's days with Wexford. Western Michigan kept up the pressure and
scored again at 11:22 when Chris Brooks tied the game with the assistance of
Scott Chartier on a power play. However, Miami had the final word at 14:30 as
Steve Rohr with an assist by Bobby Marshall dealt the final blow.

Unfortunely the game was marred by numerious bad decisions by the officials.
Frequently there were penalites which should not have been penalties and
non-penalites which should have been penalties.
