Michigan Tech has one of the most "alive and well" pep bands in the league.
In fact, the band has been outlawed at Lakeview Arena in Marquette, Mich.,
due to the effect it has on the game. It is possible to have both the
sounds of a pep band and rock music during the games. Michigan Tech
coordinates its music with the use of headsets between the athletic
communications director in the press box, the band leader and the person
operating the stereo system. For the most part, it works great.
