You're dreaming, right? Tamer and Cummins used to look for
each other. They had some classic rock 'em, sock 'em tilts.

Contrary to the MSU propaganda, Tamer never backed away
from anyone. Of course, he occasionally instigated as well.
He's one mean physical presence. Off the ice, he's a very gentle,
soft-spoken person. (Very hard to believe for anyone that's seen
him play.)

This season with Cleveland (IHL), Tamer has 190 penalty minutes
in 41 games. His favorite dance partner seems to be Detroit's
John Craighead (180 PIM/25 GP). It's as if a confrontation is
scripted into every Cleveland-Detroit game. "Jeez, it's 2:47 into
the second period...almost time for the Tamer-Craighead
fight." :-)

As for the hit that he's being sued for, I haven't seen it. Obviously,
I believe the whole thing is B.S. I've never known Tamer to check
with the intent to injure. He probably wanted to send him as far
away from the crease as possible and post happened to get in
the way. Enforcer? Yes. Assailant? No.

As for being suspended for the remainder of the IHL season,
I've never heard that. Tamer was called up shortly after the
Peoria game in question. At the time of the complaint, the IHL
commish basically washed his hands of it saying that Tamer
was no longer in the IHL so the matter was closed. Word of
a suspension is news to me, and I've been trying to follow the
story. (Apparently not very well.)
