The Gophers put together 3 solid periods of hockey to beat the Denver
Pioneers 6-1. Both teams had to overcome awful officiating by Goddard.
Since I am not one for statistics, I can't quote you who had how many shots
there were, and who exactly scored goals. I do know that going into the 3rd
period, the Gophers already had 30 shots on goal. Additionally, Keith
Ballard got 2 goals, and the power play lit up the goal light once (maybe
twice?) tonight. It was finally nice to see them come together and play the
way we know they can.
