The coaches knew who the cream of the WCHA would be, but after the first
two there was many changes. The most overachieving team was Denver, moving
from 7 to 3 (+4), followed by Alaska Anchorage from 9 to 6 (+3). The team
falling the most was UMD, who may have fallen further yet Mankato State
University Minnesota isn't in the league until next year. They fell from
6th to 9th (-3).
