In a release dated today, Hockey East's newest member, Mass Amherst,
announced that 29 of its games will be broadcast on Boston area radio
station WROL, 950 AM.

UMA AD Bob Marcum referred to the school's alumni base of over 100,000
in metro Boston in announcing the deal.

WROL will carry 10 games live and 19 on tape delay. Those games
slated for live broadcast at this time are:

10/22/94 at Mass Lowell
10/29/94 at Providence
12/09/94 at New Hampshire
12/16/94 vs Princeton
01/07/95 vs Boston College
01/17/95 vs Bowdoin
01/24/95 vs Army
01/27/95 vs Maine
01/31/95 at Holy Cross
02/11/95 at Maine

All are 7 pm Eastern start times.

IMO, this is a brilliant move by UMA. It should help them build
immediate interest among alumni and other fans in the Boston area,
especially since 7 of the league's other 8 teams are located within an
hour of the city.
