Last night Jim Carey, who was a goaltender for the University of Wisconsin
last year, got his first professional hockey win and shut-out. The
Portland Pirates beat the Providence Bruins 2-0. Carey was in goal for
the entire game and faced 26 shots.

I know the Badgers will miss Carey this year, but I'm very happy that
he's playing for the Portland Pirates. Maybe he can help the Pirates win
the Calder Cup for the second year in a row.

Carol
