The newly formed statewide Maine Library Advisory Council seeks nominations for a patron representative to the council.  The council is defining a patron as a library user who does NOT work or volunteer at a library. The nominee should be a knowledgeable, highly engaged, technology savvy patron who is willing to attend meetings in person (or virtually) approximately 4 times per year and possess the qualities that you believe would provide a valuable perspective to the council.



The council will make their selection based upon the qualifications of nominees.  Please submit your nominee by March 28.

The purpose of the council is to communicate regional needs and opportunities for enhanced services and training; to represent the needs of Maine libraries to the Maine Library Commission; Maine State Librarian and the Director of Library Development; and to provide a communications network between the Maine State Library, the Maine Library Commission and the libraries in each region
