Regional Facilitator

Syntiro is a nonprofit that is home to a number of initiatives in education
located in Readfield, Maine.

We are currently seeking a GEAR UP Regional Facilitator for Washington
County,  Maine to work with the GEAR UP Maine Program staff to act as
liaison between the GEAR UP College Access Teams (CATs) and the GEAR UP
Maine grant.

The team of Regional Facilitators (assigned to districts in Western/Central
Maine, Washington County, and Aroostook County) work closely with the
Project Director and the GEAR UP Maine Leadership Team to:

   -

   ●  oversee district College Access Team (CAT) yearly action plans;
   -

   ●  ensure partner district compliance with grant data requirements;
●  provide
   resources and support for activities associated with the district college
   access plans;
   -

   ●  lead and participate in various GEAR UP Maine projects as determined
   by the needs of the grant, and
   -

   ●  participate in relevant professional development and partnership
   activities.
   -


Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work
concurrently with several individuals on an array of projects, are
necessary. The GEAR UP Regional Facilitator is based in a home office with
frequent and regular travel to the Syntiro office and across the state,
typically requiring a driver’s license. Occasional out of state travel is
also required. The position has a high degree of variability, even on a
daily basis.

This is a 0.5- 1.0 full time position with competitive salary and benefits
for the most qualified candidate.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Education required. At least 10 years
experience in education with demonstrated leadership skills required.
