I've been asked to forward this message by our Project Outcome contact.
A little background first:
MSL has been working with STAR Net for over a year on our IMLS leadership grant on STEM in libraries (http://www.maine.gov/msl/libs/grant_projects/imls_leadership_grant.shtml ). As part of the grant, STAR Net has developed the portal and content for library STEM activities (see STAR Library Network below). Project Outcome has also been working with STAR Net to enhance their work around STEM topics.
The message:
The STAR Library Network<https://www.starnetlibraries.org/> (STAR Net) is a hands-on learning network for libraries and their communities across the country. STAR Net focuses on helping library professionals build their STEM skills by providing "science-technology activities and resources" (STAR) and training to use those resources. We are interested in potentially extending this training to library volunteers in the form of webinars and how-to videos.
Please help us better understand what volunteer workforce, if any, currently supports your library by taking a survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/volunteers-in-libraries-survey . The deadline for submissions is Thursday, October 5th.
We appreciate your time and input! Thank you!
