A reminder if you haven't already registered: there will be an webinar conversation with Holly Williams, Director of the Pittsfield Public Library this Wednesday starting at noon!

During the fall of 2022, at the town of Pittsfield's very first budget meeting, a proposal to cut the public library's Saturday hours and reduce support staffing by 20% was introduced. Holly was able to rally her community to support the library, and in doing so changed the budget cut into an increase. Join us in this online-only event as Chris Dorman, Maine State Library STEM specialist and regional liaison interviews Holly about her library's victory during a trying time in her community. There will be time for the audience's questions after the conversation, and the webinar will be recorded if you are unable to attend.
