Hello NEOA,

I'm on a bus next to Kim Jones and have important timely information for us all to know.

Rougher news from DC. The house took a voice vote tonight and the chair said the "nays" have it(is what we wanted). Then Rep Jason Lewis (MN) called for a "role call" vote which is being held tomorrow when congress is in session.

We are in serious jeopardy of losing the $60 million that we fought for this past year. We have fighters in our corner, as even if they support CTE they do not support taking money from TRIO and/or gear up to fund this (stealing from peter to pay paul), but this will move forward if we are complacent.

TRIO would not support money being taking from CTE to increase TRIO funding.

Please call your rep tomorrow morning  - take a break from work and use your cell or call before work- this has to be made a priority tomorrow morning.

We saw a clip today of Rep Jason Lewis saying that he sees ppl with a 4yr degree every day "asking do you want cream with that?"
In his rebuttal, Tom Cole stated he knows how Important the trio funding is and how hard it was to gain any increase in only the last 2yrs (out of many) and that he wanted to help him with his idea but not at the expense of TRIO - he is not supporting this and would do his best to ensure it doesn't happen.
