Due to a Department of Transportation road construction project on State
Route 3 in Bar Harbor, a fiber cutover will be taking place late this
evening. Work is expected to start at midnight on September 27th and run
until work is completed, estimated at 4:00am. The cutover will be
staggered so not all affected sites will lose service at the same time. No
official estimated time to restoration was provided, however from past
experience we expect outages to be approximately 30 minutes once service is
lost.
This work is expected to affect all sites east of the entrance to Acadia
along Rt 3, including:
College of the Atlantic
The Jackson Laboratory
Town of Bar Harbor
RSU8 – MDI Schools
Jesup Library
Should there be any changes to this planned maintenance, an update will be
provided.
Thank you.
