Tim Bray recently complained of Homer's heroes that
"My problem with most of Homer's characters is that they're vicious,
self-important, thin-skinned, and dishonest."
I think I have met some of these people strolling the streets of my on fair
and complacent city, Toronto the Not-so-Good.
Prefer Tony Soprano to some of them myself.
So maybe Homer got it right after all.
Strong moral vision...like Dante and Pound.
Not sure about the trousers however.
