Dear TRIO Colleagues,

I hope this email finds you all well.

I am writing to all of you on behalf of the USM Upward Bound - Dollars for
Scholars Board. The affiliated board works as a scholarship fundraising
group for students in the UB program at USM. In June 2015, the board
applied for and received the opportunity to earn a matching $5,000 grant
from Scholarship America to support our effort to build enough resources
for renewable scholarships.

Since that time, the DFS Board, USM Upward Bound students and staff have
organized a number of fundraising efforts to meet our goal of $5,000; car
washes, CLYNK, calendar raffles, a Valentine-Weekend Get-A-Away raffle, a
Book & Bake Sale, personal donations...we have done it all!

To date, we have raised *$4,575* and only have until *September 25th* to
reach $5,000. We are reaching out to all of our connections to help us fund
raise the remaining $425.
