Tom, if your poems are as long-winded as your rambling on Lily, then I
suppose the Lily prize should overlook you.  Write because you want to
write, if for so no other reason, than for yourself.  The Lily millions
don't affect you or the state of poetry.  If you want to know the truth,
you should be more worried about the academics, poetic theoreticians, and
critics; afterall, they control the state of poetry!
