sorry for another aside / but I want to draw the attention of all german
subscribers to this list to a new book about Pound, written by Alexander
Schmitz, that happened to come out some days or weeks before / it is called
_Ezra Pound zur Einf|hrung_, published by Junius Verlag, it has 196 pages, costs
24,80 marks and is worth it / As I do not know the author (perhaps some of you
do, as he is a member of this list), I can frankly say so / It is a quite short
& concise introduction in the work of E.P., very fresh, very good to read, of
course too short for the real Poundians, but very much to be recommended as an
introduction for anyone who has read one or another poem or canto by EP, got a
first glimpse into his works and wants to know more about it / very encouraging
readers just to jump into the Cantos and not to be afraid of the prejudices: not
readable... too heavy... all that stuff...
sorry again for advertising / but perhaps it may be of interest for one or
another on this side of the ocean /
