I came across the "if a man..." statement on a political poster on a wall
in Sicily about four years ago.  It was in Italian and was being used
along with a photo of the aged Pound with cape and cane strolling in
Venice, as part of a campaign for some sort of far-right Italian political
party--the Front for Youth Something-or-Other.  I can provide a photocopy
of a photo off-line for anyone who wants.
